Brother i was in the same condition as yours. Japanese gari na len because uska mechanic nahi mile ga thek.
I had the same budget. I started looking for 2015-2016 civic. Didn’t find any car in good condition. Some of them were there, but they were over priced. Then i started looking for a used GLI. A 2015-2016 was costing atleast 19 lacs (I wanted a scratchless car). And when i was about to buy a used GLI, i bought a brand new honda city.
It has it’s pros and cons but I’m actually in a peace of mind condition.
But considering current hike in fuel prices, you should seriously consider a hybrid vehicle, but again, it has it’s pros and cons too.

brother if your are to travel to some remote areas of village you should better go for Corolla 2015-2016
else in this budget you can also find a 2015 civic which is a strong car but again its not fuel economic.
i would recommend an imported car only if you are not go to a bumpy village ride as these are all city driven cars not meant for off road drive) however honda grace could be a good option but again you will have to pay a bit more

You can easily find clean civic 2015 in this price. Go for it.

This car has same engine as fit and vezel so I guess that the parts related to engine will be available. Don't know about spare parts.

Bro if this is the situation, then I would suggest PKDM locally assembled Corolla, matching your budget, but in good condition.

You can get a slightly used “pre-facelift” Corolla Altis 1.6 in 21 lakhs price range. Easily. Mileage should be 25-30k. You can’t get a new sedan in this price range.

You can also look for a GLi, which will work fine.

The car you showed above is the JDM model of Honda City, “Honda Grace” which is a great car by the way, but the local City isn’t that so much.

If I were you, with that price range, then I’d get myself a used Altis 1.6.

Anyways, good luck. The quality of local cars isn’t that bad. All they lack is features, the built quality is somewhat alike.

Bro these are all personal choices and based on ones likes / dislikes. As per my experience, I have found Toyota to be extremely reliable, comfortable and low on maintenance, so accordingly, I would always recommend it to all, unless / until Honda beats Toyota in all such categories.
