Hope everyone is doing well. I got a budget of 3.5 million and I want to go with a C segment sedan. New C segment sedans are pretty expensive so the only option I have is to go with used. In 3.5 million I can get Toyota Corolla GLI 1.3L Automatic 2019 - 2020 model or I can get a 2017 Honda Civic X. (Do not want to buy City - Yaris - Alsvin - Saga etc)
To make it easy for everyone, got a Toyota Corolla E140 2014 GLI for personal use and it runs 50 KM a day. Got a Nissan Juke 2014 but its modified and not good for everyday use and lastly got a Land Cruiser Prado TXL 2018 that sleeps in the garage for most of the time and is only used for special occasions like executive meetings etc or outer city routes. Right now, in need of another car that can be used in the city. The car will be used by the family so need an easy going reliable car. Car will run 50 to 60 KM everyday and there might be a few routes to village if the SUV has no space and, comfort is required.
My father wants to go with the latest model possible so he is suggesting GLI 2019 or 2020. Honda Civic is a better option equipped with better features but will have to go with 2017 or maybe 2016. Civic has a bigger and better engine too while 1.3L GLI equipped with an automatic transmission will be sluggish but too old concerns me too + have this steering rack issue going around in forums about 16 - 17 - 18 models. As per my knowledge, if the rack is already changed then there will be no issue. We are using Toyota cars from 2005 and, we were never disappointed. Going with GLI is a "Toyota Family" factor too. Civic will be a change but reliability is my priority.
Should I go with 2016 or 2017 Civic or should I pick GLI 2019 or 2020?
