I love my phone to bits, it stands out from every other apple and sammy, people really ask which one it is!
There will be issues in every single phone you buy, I care more about looks and design

There is not much difference in i5 and i5s except for a new camera design + flash, the fingerprint reader and the name
You will get bored with an iPhone- not much you can do on it. The iOS is awesome though. And, you will regret it when you will notice that you could've gotten a 5" + screen phone with Full-HD resolution in the same bracket.

At the end of the day- it all comes down to personal preference. I don't believe in Antutu benchmarks or any of that bs. I loved the design and build quality of M8- I got it.

Get S5 then. I changed phones in this sequence to get the best of everything- Xperia Play- Htc One 32GB white- Galaxy Note II, i5 and now HTC One M8. Next one will be a Lumia or so

I see you tried all major mobile brands...! The only thing that I don't like on Samsung is Plastic.... The phone is made of Plastic and holding it doesn't give pleasure. How about Z2? I can wait though!

Z2 is good- Search for Z2 vs S5 on that website as well- Playit.pk. I was going for Z2, but it was launched too late.

You got Dead pixels on screen? If it is under warranty claim it.
