Which coolant should i use

guys I have Corolla 1988 and summer season is going to rein comfort of engine so which coolant should I use which will give me best result

I have no personal experience but everyone here recommends caltex concentrated coolant.

if your car does not leak coolant, use Toyota Long Life coolant, but if it leaks, then don't because that would be rather expensive coolant.

Yes you have to dilute the caltex one with distilled water. Prediluted one is not available in local market. You can use battery tonic to dilute it but check the label first and confirm that it's simple distilled water only.

You may choose coolant between any of Toyota, Aisin, Caltex or ZIC.

I believe, any of these would work fine.

Which brand you choose, check that whether its % concentrated or 50/50 premixed.

In case of premixed, you won't have to do anything, other than flushing radiator and pouring in the coolant from the box.

In case of concentrated, you will have to add an equal amount of distilled water, to make it workable.

Never pour coolant in % concentration!

Aight. I'm just waiting for the mechanics to open. Because I've got some citric acid, i want to flush the entire cooling system, but if I do it as of now, i fear my radiator might start to leak and that won't be good. Although if I just remove my tstat, and run the heating system, and drain the rusty old coolant, it wont leak. But better to be safe than sorry. I could use AC ka pani, lekin I'll stick with store bought distilled water

caltex is sold as concentrate only - last I checked, the user needs to mix it equally with water.

Real coolant is Concentrated. Why buy premixed? May be someone is so lazy to pour distilled water in concentrate. And cooling system doesn’t get completely empty so pouring pre mix is useless for full flush. Pre mix is just good for top up.

and yet small time importers dont want to deal in concentrated. e.g. aisin is so bad that it comes in 1 litre bottles of premixed liquid.

those 1 litre bottles are sold as expansion tank top up item only at retail stores or petrol/gas stations.

Yes pre-mix/ready to pour, its only to be used as top up.
