in my personal opinion

Power & Acceleration=VTi
Better drive & fuel economy=EXi

EXI is 110 hp
VTI is 130 hp
EXI has a 1500 cc engine.
VTI has a 1600 cc engine.

Civic Exi 1.5 has 110 hp
Civic VTI 1.6 has 130 hp

Altis 1.8 2005 has 134 hp
Altis 1.8 2009 has 130 hp

Both Altis have same engine 1ZZ-FE. Same power but on web site it is different story. Maybe this tell us real story.

Offcourse Vtec bro... Its a technological advancement after EFI i.e power management with fuel efficiency. It makes both dimensions better without compromising on any other parameter. And hybrid is the next step to this quest...

Reply I got was: ''Engine power depends only on number of cylinders,not on number of valves per cylinder. Excessive valve using only to improve fuel economy.''

He says that more valves per cylinder means more fuel efficiency

U say more valves mean more fuel consumption ............ Confusing!!!

on websites it is written dat honda 1.8 has 140bhp & altist 1.8 has 130 bhp..well i also think dat vti is much much better den exi but some of my relatives which r experts & working in automobile industry says dat exi is much better i had a long argue wid dem on dis topic but conclusion was,no result :-#..i m planing to buy a civic & now i m confused 4 which i shud go..
