Which engine oil is best for vitz and how to overcome the following issues?

Aslam o Alikum I have two vitz 2011(Japanese) 1 car is driven almost 45000 km other one is above 100000 the car with 45000 km I am ok with its performance except it's average is about 15 kmpl on highway and with in the city before going to Toyota Shaheen motors it was about 18 kmpl on highway but 15 kmpl in city, with in the city there are minor vibrations sometimes on long break 5w 40 of havolin is in use in this car.
But the other car continues to knoking I have changed its gear oil, cleaned catlatic, change spark plugs but still knoking with 12 kmpl average in city and engine oil with 10 w 40 havolin red colour I need solution for both cars thanks in advance

I went to the Aisha auto care they did hho engine clean and catlatic cleaning using some sort of distal water for my 100k plus mileage car
And I am totally depends upon the suggestion and experience of my oil shop keeper for using 5w 40 in low mileage and 10w 40 havolin for above 100 k mileage car before I use fully senthatic oil of Toyota for my low mileage car but it was my worst experience my car start getting heatup after some time than I shifted to 5w 40 havolin and it was effective against heatup problem

Brother regarding engine oil, I would suggest to start from 5w-30 (if engine is perfectly healthy), then move to 10w-30 or 5w-40, and lastly, 10w-40. Do not take in to consideration, mileage factor. If engine health is perfect, then no problem!

Do engine flush before switching to new oil brand and grade; provided engine seals are perfectly healthy.

Prefer fully synthetic, from some reputed brand, meeting latest API SN /SN Plus, and / or ILSAC GF-5 criteria. Of course, oil should be 100% genuine and original.

5w-30: Total Quartz 9000 Future Series.
5w-40: Caltex Chevron, Shell, ZIC.
10w-40: ZIC.

Change oil + genuine oil filter after every 5,000 Kms or 06 months (whichever comes first). Do not drag them beyond these limits.

I think, bad quality fuel can also be one of the reasons behind it.

I would suggest to only use Shell, Total and lastly, PSO, from company operated & maintained fuel stations.

Btw, other than engine oil + oil filter and plugs, have you also checked throttle body? May be, its dirty and also requires cleaning?

Yep I throatal body was also serviced at the time I changed spark plugs but not from Toyota from local machanic

ok in your first vehicle with 45000km's if the engine is healthy use only 5W-30 full synthetic engine oil in it and your acceleration response would get better by time.

in your other vitz if the engine knock occurs in between the speed range of 40-50 Km/H with light foot driving condition then its not the knock occurring due to octane problem but due to deterioration of cylinder bore which is also known as rod knock it vanishes as soon as you press more throttle or lift off the foot from pedal.

REMEMBER OCTANE KNOCK OCCURS ONLY ON HIGH RPM RANGES AND CONTINUES EITHER YOU PRESS THE THROTTLE MORE OR MAINTAIN IT.

A PROPER DIAGNOSTIC JOB OF BOTH VEHICLES WOULD REVEAL THE ACTUAL SITUATION.

My 2nd car with 100k plus mileage only vibrat on idol position with AC and without ( with AC swear vibrations I am facing on idol) or when in D stoping on signal when car is in running position I feel no vibrations.

Is it ok to use 5w30 in vitz according to LHR weather conditions because 5w30 perform batter in could and 5w40 in hot weather according to Google

I had many clients on Lahore which are running their vitz 1kr on 0w20 oils. But remember only best of the best oil survives that temperature. So ordinary oils are as good as junk oil.

whats this 40c temp for oil, i am unable to able understand the query. But vitz optimum temp which i observed remain around 85 c and in rush areas the coolant temperature goes upto around 95 degree c
