i am using havoline in my honda 70 . 27000km done. no problem until now. MashaAllah. changing oil . air filter and spark plug on time. changing oil at 2000km. and i have seen a pack by fuchs for cd 70. its 0.7 liter pack for 250rupees. shop keeper was saying that its the best oil for new bikes as its synthetic

well as far as i knw Total has a wide range for bikes and cars
and on very ecnomical prices here in pakistan we compare horses with donkeys

corect way of comparing is to compare same specification oils

as u take

caltex havoline 20w 50 is (sg) and u compare with total quartz cng its not rite

or u compare zic synthetic range with non synthetic brands

in total there r lot varieties but issue is tht here in pakistan no one keeps full range every one is running behind wht he hears

1 quartz 9000 ( sm ) 5w 40 made in France top most range synthetic and it has less price thn others in this range recomended by Porche BMW and Mercedes most sufisticated oil in pakistan

2 quartz 7000( sl) 10w 40 made in u.a.e and is also synthetic and not over priced recomended by peugeot citroen Volkswagen mercedes benz

3 quartz 5000 20w 50(sj/cj) made in pakistan

4 quartz cng 20 w 50 (sf/cc) made in pakistan

5 4tmco motorcyle oil 20w40 made in pakistan recomended my Honda

In India, Castrol is the highest selling Brand of Engine Oil

the question about best engine oil is very interesting and provocative.
the issue is that mineral oils are gud but if u are using 125cc or higher then u wish to use a better oil like semi or fully synthetic.
the problem though with using synthetic oils is that bikes use wet clutch system and synthetic oils ruin the clutch plates beacause synthetic oils were primarily made for cars which have a separate transmission oil and thts y u can use synthetic oil in cars.

if u want to use synthetic oil in bikes then the oil must satisfy JASO MA standard which shows that the oil is also suitable for wet clutch systems.

only two oils are currently providing it

1:- Castrol Racing 1T (fully synthetic, 10W-40, JASO MA)
2:- ZIC 4T (fully synthetic, 10W-40, JASO MA)

so guys i recommend u use any of the above. i have a Piaggio Storm 125cc Euro2 and i am using ZIC 4T... Bike is running like a charm

ZIC 4T is the best choise for any bike where JASO MA oil is recommended
and in Pakistan all Motor cycle manufacturers only recommend JASO MA oil
more over ZIC 4T is the first ever fully synthetic Motor cycle oil in Pakistan
so you must try it

I had just readed ur thread and go 4 buy the ZIC. Beleave me guy its great.
I have CG125 and after putting ZIC4t in it. The bike is running like charm.

The answer is quite simple and easy to understand. I think all synthetic oils from with minimum API/SL grade are better for any car. You can try and find best among them. Foriegn manufactured synthetic oils may give you the best engine protection.

i have tried all the brands and find that castrol and zic 4t performed very well.

i am also using zic 10/40 in my gs150 suzuki as recommended by suzuki itself.

I didn't find any other 10W-40 (in 4T like ZIC) for bikes. Caltex & shell are 20W-40 and Castrol 4T is 20W-50.

It gives good start no extra kicks.
