I want a good engine to be replaced .. the pit shop guy got hold of its stock engine i thing d16 isntead of d15...he said it will be best for your car since it is rare to find and high in demand...is he right or making a fool out of me?
is it a VTI or exiwhats the complete engine code of the engine he has and how much is he asking
A D16W9 isn't rare to find and our local markets are full of that engine! Please share the price quoted to you. And D15B is a bolt on swap for a 2000, I'm not sure but other members would explain that better
55k is the price quoted to me... and mine is vti so no D15b for that car probably...and either it is d16w9 or d16y9...hes saying youre very lucky that you get hold of it and it will be perfect for it

D16y8 comes with the carExplore junk yard you might find a D16y6 .... its the same thing...n u might save money..55k for assembly is alot
sir i have the same problemmine is a 99 vti oriel with a pk6v engine and want to swap it as it is eating oil..so which engine would b best...mine is automatic..wd genuine wiring nothing abused til nowd16y8 wil work fine with the ecu? with no engine check lights?
