Which is better: HID or SMD light bulbs for Headlight?

ASALAM O ALEKUM
i want to replace my halogen bulb with HID but people said HID last for only 1 or 2 year after ward it will destroy the headlight cover etc etc
SMD is far better than HID ..... but over here SMD is expensive to
i'm thinking to order SMD from AliExpress

what you guys suggest ?

Hid is not recommended in halogen housing

HID doesnt breakup if you put a good brand in it!

Both are not recommended, put Phillips xtreme halogen bulbs

Philips xtreme vs factory bulbs: You wont appreciate much of a difference.
If budget is not a problem, go for a retrofit and contact KeiWorks12 for that.
