@ all, personally own, honda city, 08 corola gli 08, baleno 05, and had a 98 one ... i dunt y but cities is some how extremly under powered ....... corolla picks up gud but baleno beats shit out of it...... ,,, about the 1.6 baleno .. when it was produced corola indus was under production and civic 99-00.... the companies had a race baleno tuk lead in the start but failed to lead in till the end .... secondly 1.6s baleno brakes werent also supportive enuff to support the 1.6l engine.......

@ b.t.w rx-8 is 1.3l x 2 just like rose petal tissues 150 x2 ply.... so its not just simply 1.3 its turbo charged ... wait till i turbo charge my baleno hehehe

i don't know about any1 else but i own 1.3 vvti platz a/t with cruise control import 2006 (just 1043km driven previously before import)model02 .... never beaten by any...what to say about other 1.3 above mentioned categories....its all experienced especially on motorways during my long route drives

HONDA CITY=77 BHP

TOYOTA VITZ 1.3 RS=86 BHP

SUZUKI BALENO JXR=85 BHP

NOW HORSEPOWER WISE THE MITSUBISHI LANCER AND THE NISSAN SUNNY BOTH LEADS IN THE 1300CC CATEGORY BUT THE LIGHTEST AMONG ALL THESE IS THE TOYOTA VITZ 1.3 RS AND ALSO IT IS 86 BHP SO ITS THE FASTEST AMONG ALL THESE CARS AND THE SLOWEST FOR SURE IS THE HONDA CITY BECAUSE ITS ONLY 77 BHP SO NEVER GO FOR A HONDA CITY IN THE 1300CC CAR RANGE AS FAR AS YOU CONSIDER THE PICK OF THE CAR!!!

IF you are considering VItz, then also consider Suzuki Swift 1.3L and do the comparisoin of weight to power ratio. i bet it will eat out all 1.3L cars.

in its time, Honda City hypervalve was among the fastest with a 95 hp engine and a 960 kg body........ do the math n the power to weight comes around 97-99 hp/ton........ place a good driver behind the wheel n itll be really difficult for other 1.3L cars to catch it!
nowadays, its the 09 city which is the fastest.....i think!

I guess in the current 1.3L cars produced in Pakistan Honda City has to be the fastest as it has the best power to weight ratio in current versions ( correct me if i'm wrong ). Toyota Corolla Xli/Gli has alot more weight and less horses under the hood ( the current one )
