hi broswhich is the best engine oil for cng?what is ur opinion about SHELL's CNG engine oil? is it specially made for CNG engines or just other ordinary oils r good enough for CNG?
thanks
all the oil who has the label of (made for cng cars) is bull shit its the same they r just putting the sticker on that engine oil bottle. it depends on wat car u have any way my recomendation is to use the 10w-40 grade oil of zic or mobil these oils r of low price and good quality bcoz thats wat i use in my car
hello!!i use shell Cng Oil bcz its truly have qualities of it...u can't see it but fell the difference after use....it is 20w-50...its viscosity is higher....also available same viscosity in Shell Oil but it has some additional features... this time i put PSO Cng which is also 20w-50....its also good....Thanxx
I think total is the company to go fro right now because there is plenty of fake oils available i nthe market with Caltex, Shell and PSO's packing.....
i agree with shahabrk.
Increase intervals of oil change rather than using a costly synthetic oil for a long interval... use a good oil like Caltex Havoline Formula for 2500km.
As far as Caltex is concerned, there is a difference...
Flash point is the temp. after which the oil starts to loose itself slowly... its higher for Caltex CNG. But the Caltex CNG oil has old API grade.
shell ka phela wala dhabba.
no exact answer
if i tell u my experience
some times havoline gives good perforamance
some times castrol gives good performance
dont know why this thing happens
but one thing shell is the worst one for CNG.
better dont change ur engine oil just as some one said change it quicker than u do normally ... if ur car is new than u can change brand of oil but if its old then better keep the one u are already putting in ... shell cng and caltex are gud ... but further only technical persons can tell us abt it
@Haceebagree with u.i m using CALTEX CNG in my alto.
ALSO caltex and shell have same formula, same thing.
TRY HABIB COOKING OIL..it's gud..but if u want performance then use RAFHAN CORN OIL.
many ppl esp close shop keepers and workers at stations have said it's just a gimmick to fool the Pakistanis. it all the same and even if it isn't, it really doesn't make any difference to the engine. so just save the extra money and treat yourself to an ice cream at some good parlor as a reward for doing such work in this sizzling heat
i am using shell since 8 years ......n i am satified with the engine oil....cng word is added on the pack the oil is the same either using on petrol or cng...
GTX & Gulf (CNG)
Hello!Nowdays Using Caltex Havoline CNG and results are good...!Regards
oil does not become dirty quickly on CNG. This combined with longevity of synthetic lubes can result in good ROI. CNG is much thinner than air and easily leaks through rings therefore they must maintain tight seal which is only achievable through friction reduction capabilities synthetics offer. In fact one cannot run an engine on synthetic for during break in period because they are good enough to hinder breaking in by superior lubrication capabilities.
