Which is the Best High Performance Engine Which is Easily Available in Pakistan?

I have Suzuki Baleno 2001 model (GTi 1.6) and I am thinking of replacing its engine with a high performance engine. But, not sure which one;

1. is easily available
2. has no parts availability issues
3. is not too expensive
4. is not so much complicated for Mechanics & Electricians in Pakistan.

Any suggestions?

The issue with high performance engines is that in order to swap them in a Baleno, a lot of alterations need to be done and a deep pocket is required. Even then, the end result might not be satisfactory.

I had a plan of installing a B16/B18 in my Baleno but didn't because Daniyal Bhai told me about the cons of it. Now I have something else in my mind. Just waiting for the right time to execute it.

Bolt on for Baleno. And parts are available. And engine has amazing throttle response, hence nightmare for zz's and nz's along with R18's

How do you define "high performance" . even a j18 is not high performance in my opinion....

J series came in Gt variants of Suzuki esteem.
G doesn't stands a chance in front of J.

So G is out of debate in Baleno..
I don't have time to teach you about high performance engines sir. You can do your research by comparing power outputs and torque of both engines

The 130 hp it puts out is pretty measly by today's standards, i wonder if a modified charade with a 2.0L Honda engine is considered the epitome of performance by the Desi Car community.

Don't know why it feels so slow and sluggish... Although it seems to be in perfect shape, no smoke, no strange noise, nothing else... I also got its compression checked and it was Perfect... There might be some fault in any component like fuel pump or injectors but no mechanic was able to identify it....

So, I thought that instead of replacing it with another G engine, I should go a step further and consider a high performance engine!

G series engines are not too bad.

I think you are having tuning issues and dragging brakes. What city are you in?

a swap will improve power, but the mechanics here rely on rough measurements with measuring tape and substandard machining. It is too difficult to get factory good smoothness and reliability from a swap. It is much easier to get the current engine to run better.

I am in Rawalpindi. May be... but no one was able to identify it till now. The car feels so heavy to move manually even for 2-3 persons... But I don't think weight is the issue! There is no smell of breaks so I think breaks are not Dragging as well...!

You can't really smell jammed brakes. This definitely is a tuning problem, because for routine use, even margalla feels like it has decent power (it is g13, 8 valve with carburetor) yours is a much better engine.

Post an engine bay pic. Lets start from there.
