AOA,
I want to buy an OBD2 scanner, preferably Bluetooth based. Those of you who have used such devices, please comment as to which one should be bought, keeping into consideration that I will be using the device in my personal cars and is not intended to be used professionally.
Some of the commonly available ones are here:
I am also confused ...
On Suzuki these scanners will not work .
I also want a cheap WiFi OBD2 scanner that relays car electronics/sensor information to the in-dash infotainment system. Please suggest some good WiFi OBDII scanners alongwith their prices.

i am using scanguage, which is real time fantastic gauge but expensive
I've googled obd scanner...but can you tell me what's the use of it if your not a mechanic?
I think its good for tech savy people to monitor Air intake temp,Coolant temp etc yourself and I believe with this we can detect a problem evem before lights on dashboard turn on,for instance coolant temp gets high but not too high to turn on Overheat light. So we can deal with problems before they cause major problems. And for instance if a check engine light turns on we would have to ho to the dealership or mechanic to get it scanned but with we can figure the problem ourselves.Thats all I can think of
Thanks everyone for your replies. I would be interested in getting reviews from those who have used the device. There are some Android and iPhone Apps which may enhance the functionality of these devices.
Please confirm if it can connect to Android powered cell phones?
In its description it says:By using this device, you can monitor your cars from PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, to do inspection by yourself! It would save your money and time.
To add onto what he said and as a more specific example. Often cars don't have the RPM Gauge, the OBD can show you that info in real time, it can also show you your 0-60 and 0-100 speed in precise metrics as measured by the system but that's for the speed freaks. It's also useful when a car doesn't have a temperature gauge and only an Icon when the car has become too hot. This can tell you the temperature in actual terms. The "Chabi" device also operates on an OBD adapter, same goes for the Telenor Automate device. One app that i've seen good reviews for is Torque, have a look at it's description for more on what all it can do. Torque
yes, you can also connect the scanner to mobile using WiFi and access the data.WiFi scanners work with PC and Laptop also using WiFi.
Remember if you are intended to use these scanner with Pak Suzuki car, It will never work as Pak suzuki has their proprietary protocol
Yes japanese 660 cars dont gave a Tachometer and Cars like City and 660 Cars dont have a temprature gauge so yeah
