It kind of depends on a lot of factors with PHEVs. Is this going to be your only vehicle or will you have another one that you can take for long intercity commutes? Do you have solar installed to make the charging part make sense? (even without solar it can be viable)

If you mainly drive around 50 km a day the HS PHEV would make a lot of sense because you could drive all of it on electric, which would be much cheaper. On longer motorway journeys the Jolion will be A LOT more efficient though. If you need an all rounder vehicle the Jolion would be the better bet but if you travel like 2-3 times a year on the motorway for longer journeys the HS PHEV will do you just fine as well albeit expect an average of like 8-10 km/l on the motorway with it.

So for long commutes the Jolion would win,
for short city drives the HS PHEV would win.

Search the jolion hev thread and see actual owners reviewers. I've not seen one SINGLE claim of 14+kmpl on "motorway" (not highway/gt road).
Set the cruise at 120kmph hs phev will give you 10.5_11.5kmpl (any day, any battery state, any load condition).
While a jolion hev (according to what I've read _not my own experience) will at best do 14kmpl.
So there's no day and night difference unless someone does like a 100 days in motorways.

Any normal person with regular daily city usage car would find hs phev be a much much better option (offers every single bell and whistle in terms of features) plus the ev drive fun - instant torque. Makes it so much more tempting if you have a solar with about 400 excess monthly units in export.

Ps. My prediction is that any Haval vehicle bought in 2025 will see the highest depreciation in 2 years time, in comparison to its other direct competitors (just a personal analysis) [except for maybe the h6 phev _don't see a very good competitor in the pipeline against)

I mostly drive in city. No i dont have solar inatalled and that is why i was told by some of .MG PHEV users that this car in not for me, if want to charge it on wapds or use it like a normal hybrid car i wont be getting good fuel Avg ! This car is a luxry to have if you have solar installed!

Okay let's try to figure out if it still makes sense for you; my electricity rate is around 44 pkr per kwh, which makes a full charge cost around 800 pkr (I'm assuming it is similar for everyone). If we're assuming you get 50 km out of the full EV mode that should be around 16 pkr/KM.

To compare, assuming you drive a car with a decent city average of 13 km/l that would bring the price to 20.4 pkr/KM with today's fuel price.

So yeah after doing these calculations I think I would rather have the Jolion if I did not have solar or a much cheaper electricity rate.

I'm sorry the figures that I quoted are from experiences of similar models mixed with feedback from other users through various platforms (although they all had been very pessimistic about the performance with a non charged battery).

If that's the figure you're getting then that's great, although my 1.5 HS gets the exact same average. I was really hoping a better figure when the PHEV was announced because I enjoy the HS the most on the motorway with it's adaptive cruise control and lane keep system, makes me feel like I'm in a Tesla

You can predict all you want while in reality honda and Toyota are facing huge depreciation, civic rs 2025 selling 7 to 8 lacks under invoice and oriels have no buyers, same for they mini crossover no buyers.
Yaris and city are only making them go ok. People talked crap like this ever since haval was launched and now it's the top seller whether someone likes it or not.

Ps. Try finding a grande or altis 1.6 2025 model with even half the amount of depreciation you've claimed. Civic 11th gen was a ridiculously priced offering anyways
