I have owned civics in Pakistan since the 5th gen. I currently own the 8th, it is a 2012 oriel and manual. And believe me when I say this, the 8th gen is miles better. It has ample performance, reliability, durability, breaking any man does she handle around the corners well.

The only issue I have with the 8th gen is the fact that it's maintenance is a tad pricy.

Consider your options between the 7th and 8th. And since you're asking for an opinion, I will have to lean towards the 8th gen, hands down.

At the end of the day, it's your money and you have to drive it. Good luck and drive safe.

personally i like 8th gen but 1 thing stops me from buying it which is its ground clearance...

Are you in Islamabad? I don't know who comes up with these unsubstantiated concepts of ground clearance. I have been driving my car all the way from bahawalpur to mardan to khushab with 4 people in the car and belive me when I say this not slow driving.

I live in bahria town and the number of speed breakers are insane. I have only hit the car by my own fault I'm places this car shouldn't be allowed to go.

So ground clearance should be an issue. The ground clearance for
7th gen is 6.3 inches off the ground
8th gen is 6.1 inches off the ground

So I don't buy that argument.

If ground clearance is issue then 7th generation is better.
For driving pleasure 8th generation.good luck wish for better purchase.
