Which tires? cc5 or bridgestone?

current one is yokohama avs db, served me for 73k km
heard much praise of continental cc5 tires so was thinking about it but i have to go through some potholes too so also considering bridgestone tires as they r strong tires n especially good for all these pothole type of roads
so cc5 or bridgestone
if bridgestone then which ones?
tire size 195/65/15
also if you know of any good shop here in islamabad, i looked at the rates at many shops back then when i was looking to change tires n isb rates were less as compared to rwp but in blue area only

I am currently using Continental ContiPremiumContact2. I have used them for only 28,000 km in Islamabad. The front tires are in good condition, however, the rear tires are showing signs of wear, as the rear wheels were slightly misaligned. Just keep in mind that Continental's are made of soft rubber and don't last that long, especially if you have misaligned wheels. However, if you want good grip the highest ranking tires are Continental and Michelin. You can find many videos on you tube in which various top tires have been evaluated.

As regards road condition, Islamabad roads are worst of all major cities, the surface is rough, as no body bothered to re-surface these roads after Ayub Khan built the city. There are many huge potholes, and your wheels can get misaligned pretty quickly. CDA is only interested in mega projects, repairing city roads is not their priority.

I am currently using Continental ContiPremiumContact2. They are wearing out pretty quickly. Just keep that in mind. Continental's are made of soft rubber and don't last that long.

i have CC5 on two of my cars one of which had turanza before, no doubt continental is better but they do wear out quicker as can be seen by their treadwear rating also plus they do have very soft sidewalls and i would imagine that they could get damaged more easily than bridgestones. though in all other respects continentals are better.

i only know of asad tyres in rawalpindi no other tyres shops so cant help you there. i am pretty satisfied with continentals so far and they easily survived the unpaved roads while kashmir highway was being constructed and also airport road recently as i frequently visit islamabad so i dont see any issue. but internationally they are widely regarded to get damaged easily.

well i havent used them much one i have had on for a year now but only drove the car 2000km, other car just got them and has done 3000km in two months all islamabad trips,

i have never replaced any tyres on any car because of tread wearing out, only because of manufacturing date exceeding 5 years so this had not been a concern for me. But generally a tyre with lower treadwear rating compared to one with higher is guaranteed to wear faster.
didnt have any issues in both conti's in the while i had them. the one that i have had ofr a year now havent wore or changed its feel or noise in anyway.

i would say if cost is primary concern bridgestones do the job fine, if you want quietness and better grip then go for it, the cc5 series is made in malaysia and is deisgned for asian countries with bad roads unlike its german coutnerpart series so its works fine even on our roads.

well cda does re fills the pot holes some of them atleast, live in a area where cda doesnt operates n no one fills pot holes, then u'll praise cda for doing even little bit

continentals are better then bridgestone but don't expect them to be like yokos which have served you 73k kms. Continentals tend to wear out faster and are bit sensitive to Pakistani roads.

There isn't much price difference as both are made in Asian countries and soft compound means they'll wear quicker, that doesn't mean the tyre is bad or its grip is compromised, Eurostar seem to have the longest life so by that analysis they should be better than Bridgestone and continentals.
Set out your priorities then go what suits you and the amount you want to spend, don't go for a brand for names sake though having used bridge stone turanza Pirelli p1 Centurato verde advan db michillen energy saver xm2 and Dunlop lm 702 and euros as well
My fav have been continentals
Wear though has never concerned me as I don't drive a lot.
