Which tires to go hard ones or soft ones?

i have mehran 2010.having alloys and GT radial tires 155/70/r12
drived only 20000+ km
are in perfect shape and no punctures
problem is when a small whole or bump is there it feels like car hits that bump not the tires
my suspension is 100% not my car is drove much and is under 50000 kms
all rubbers changed for this purpose
but isuue doesnt solved
i drived my cousins 2006 mehran with general tires and alloys feel surprised.much better than me
two questions
1-is this due to hard tires
2-is it true due to hard tires people usually told in threads that harder tires are better for suspension as less bumps feel on them
3-which softer tires to go if tires are problem
yokohoma or dunlop

GT Radials are somewhat hard tyres IMHO but foe this size there shouldn't be a problem. Having a look at the tyre in your photo, the tread seems perfectly fine but you can't really tell unless physically inspected. The second question's answer is a simple no in this case.

Hard tires transfer the bumps directly to your suspension and giving it hard time. On the other hand, softer tires absorb part of the bump and transfer the rest to suspension, so comfortable ride.

Regarding soft tires options, I can not comment but heard that Yoko are the best.

You don't need hard tyres in Mehran, because its suspension is already very stiff. So Hard Tyres + Hard Suspension results in rough driving experience. Get some softer tyres, for this purpose Yokohama is best choice. Also tyre size matters are alot, means if you put even little bigger tyres then it will definitely result in bumpy ride and eventually effect you suspension with passage of time.

Your cousin's 2006 Mehran might have original size tyres and might be softer than yours. In my Mehran I had Maxxis tyres but of same size of General tyres and the ride was smooth.

So get softer tyres with original recommended size by company. For test purpose you may also exchange tyres with your cousin's Mehran and see if it makes any difference.

In mehran size not much tyre variety available, if you want to go for soft tyres then Hankook and Rotalla are the brands. Yokohama and dunlop are somehow hard tyres because they last long and hard tyres donot loose their tread easily unlike soft tyres.

You may go for NANKANG tyres, they are softer then GT Radial.

GT Radials are very durable, Safe tires but its very hard, i am using it with my cultus and ride is very harsh specially when tire gets little old. I recon Yokohama A-Drive if they are available in your desired size.

yup they are very good in grip and never get punctured
their treds are still 100%

Dont deflate tire it will affect the structural integrity of the tire hence can be lead to de-shaped tire as its a hard tire so there are more chances of damaging the side wall of it. i personally experience that on my car tires.

how would one differentiate between a soft and hard one?is dunlop eco a soft one?
