Which vehicle to buy?

I have a budget of about 4.6 M, and i require a car for family, how many choices do i have in this range?

There are a lot of choices but you need to specify what type of vehicle do you need? And what are your preferences regarding power, fuel economy, luggage space.

For now, I have to chose between civic, grande, altis 1.6 x , Mg ZS, BRV. your thoughts on these? I will be visiting Northern areas most often with family. Which is a better option considering all of the specs?
I m very much inclined towards grande tbh, will altis 1.6 be able to do the same job?

All of the cars you mentioned can easily go to all the Northern Areas. No issue with that.
If your family can easily fit in Civic/Grande, then don't consider BRV. It is good for people who need extra seating capacity but doesn't have any advantage over Civic or Grande.
MG ZS is a good vehicle in its segment but looking at the uncertainty surrounding MG Motors in Pakistan and the weak aftersales, I would not recommend it.
Between Civic and Grande, you can test drive both and see which better suits you. In short, Civic will provide better handling and stability but with less comfort compared to Grande which is more comfortable but doesn't have the handling or stability as good as Civic.

If you choose Grande, will it be used? Because new one is 4.7M right now.
You can also look at the Corolla 1.6 X Special Edition. It has almost all the features of Grande but with a 1.6 engine. Its price is 4.3M.

don't go for a civic for northern areas, get a slightly used altis grande 1.8, the 1.6 altis has a horrible transmission.
i have a civic x and recently sold my grande after 4 years of ownership, sold it for a sportage, but honestly what a all round vehicle it is. its like a mini suv. i've loaded it with people and stuff and went to places one can imagine.

No, not used, thinking of booking a new grande and regarding the corolla 1.6 x SE, I have asked the people having it and most of them are complaining about its transmission, So had to go for grande. and about its price, yes I also think it is overpriced but dont have much options i suppose. Actually the car will be used by my father, and he is not much into buying and selling, we had a fielder axio 2007 before this and sold it after using it for 12-13 years, first owners there as well. So, will be going for a new one.

Thankyou brother, yes I m also having the same views about 1.6 altis. And hope grande works for me. How is sportage in comparison with grande? The drive to be specific?

There is no issue in buying a used car if you check everything thoroughly and make sure it's good. I know there is the charm of buying a new car but you may be able to get a slightly used (10-15k km driven) Grande at a good price. It can be a good option because you won't have to wait months upon months for delivery and remain in fear of price hikes.

Couldn't find any such offer in my area, and heard toyota prices rose again xD. What are your views regarding elantra? Since both are in the same price bracket now??

Elantra is a good alternative to Civic and Grande. It has a few features which are absent in the other two. I haven't driven it but I've heard good things about it's drive. Check Elantra Discussion thread for more info.
Between Grande and Elantra, Grande will always be cheaper and easier to maintain because of the huge network of IMC and readily available parts in every city.
I would again suggest you to test drive both of them and see which one suits you better. Ultimately, it's your decision to make.
