305 , 306 , 307 and now 308 are different version of same woofer released over the years, one replacing the older one. I have used most of them and found not much of difference however, in my personal opinion 306C has a slight edge over others due to its punch

307,308 are better cause , it have dual voice coil
which helps you in the connectivity from the amplifer
by means of resistance
either 1ohms , 2ohms , 4 ohms or 8ohms
these DVC sub are more beneficial for the selection of load for your amplifer ,(i.e how much u want ur amplifer should work on running sub , the more tuff ur amplifer will be , the less ohms u use for excellent result & max performance
306c 1000wmax i guess its 400wrms
307d2/d4 is newer then 306c 1200wmax , 400wrms
308d2/d4 is latest 1400wmax , 400wrms

properties of punch by a woofer , is also depends by the size of enclosure , wood thickness ,internal volume
,its dimension , the port length , port diameter, tunning frequency etc

307d2 d4 same thing but jahil fitters make them different
305 was the best of the above mentioned
306 a bit lower than 307

but if u are a pioneer addict then try to find TS-W1201C or DVC its much better than all others u have mentioned

I agree with what u said, but my personal experience is based on a trial that i did few months back, when i was buying a system for my car...i tested 306C, 306DVC, 307D2 and 307D4 in a same box first on one and later on various frequencies on Solid Audio F-47 and found performance of 306 C a little better, however there can be many technical reasons for that anyway..i personally prefer 306 C over its other models...
