I am sorry but I have to say I disagree. The first game to get everyone crazy about mods and cars was Gran Tourismo 1. NFS is trying ti imitate GT, you will notice it if you see the 1st NFS not the Underground version the ones before. NFS used to be just a racing game, and now you can modify things in it. GT1 set the world on fire, and then came the movies like "Gone in 60 secs" and "Fast and the Furious". These movies had a big role to play too in street racing and things like that. I do not know about any other city, but I have been going to view races in Karachi since the mid eighties what is now called the Sea View before the Sea View Defence Club.
The seeds were always there but what these games and movies made it popular. I have uncle who lost his fingers racing and doing wheelies at this place in Karachi in 1985.

NFS U2 was the nice game....i completed it 100% with my Nissan SKyline GTR......the game was fantastic and yeh Riders on Storm Remix was nice to listen...

NFS is a trend setter for all of the games.sice 1996.now thats almost a decade ago.no other pc game was a rival to it.guys and dudes of PK just got crazy coz of this game.especially UG seies.

man this is a great game. i played it on PS2 n finished it three times first time with skyline second time with 350z and da last time with lancer evo 2 . man these all cars fly but these wre my favoritesi ve also played it on PC and completed it with honda s2000.i think NFS most wanted will be soon here.its a superb game.
