Why do people change Vitz engine?

I have seen many listings on PakWheels about Vitz car with having new engine. I want to know that is this a known problem in all Vitz cars? I am looking forward to buy Vitz 2008 with almost 90,000km, should I expect the engine problem soon?

Majority of People use fake engine oils in Pakistan, and use water instead of coolant in radiator. These are two things that ruin engines.

i agree. but what if the engines are already in bad condition then no genuine oils and coolant would work ......

if you car engine is already in bad condition then no oil or coolant do anything, you should maintain you car on regular basis...then you will never had problem in your car

Bhai. U will also have to change the engine anyways because people abuse the vitz forgetting that its a 1000cc engine so should be driven with moderate foot. When you change engine, go for 1300cc vitz engine. It will cost around 50000 rupees. So negotiate the vitz price with the vitz seller accordingly.

So do you guys advise me to buy Vitz 2008? I have been a driver of Suzuki Hiroof (1987 model) since 2004 and I have no idea about problems in Automatic cars. I want automatic car with 1000CC engine under Rs. 1Million with pur sukoon life.. mechanic k chakkar kam say kam lagaanay parain.

What do you guys suggest?

buy a 2012 or above model of Toyota / Suzuki / Daihatsu KEI Class 660 Automatic car.,
Toyota Vitz 1000 cc early 2004 - 2008 model local cars are badly, maintained swapped with scrap yard engine again with no traceable history of engine

Most common reason is the first generation vitz had a 4 cylinder 1000cc engine and after the first generation toyota changed it to 3 cylinder 1000cc engine and in vitz it has knocking issue. Vibration issue. It cant bear the load of a heavy car like vitz with ac. Unless you drive it with a very light foot it feels more sluggish than a 660cc car with ac on. So most people change it for 1300cc engine

In the UK and and some areas vitz is also sold with 1500cc engine so you can imagine yourself if toyota is putting 1500cc engine in it how would that suit it against a 1000cc.

According to body weight ratio 1300CC engine is better for Vitz in all aspects, so people find it better performance.
