Why does the wiper washer get clogged up?

It happens to most of us that when we really need our wiper washer to work it dosen't....right.
Most of the mechanics say that clean the pipes and water container and some some mild liquid soap or shampoo in it.
That works but not for long....
The solution to keep it running might be a little expensive but its better than the hard work of cleaning the pipes and bottle and bla bla and then refilling it.
(This is Just for the imformation of those who don't know, For those who know its great)
Well have you ever thought when you buy a new car the wiper washer liquid is always blue?????
Why is that so, most of the people think that its a special liquid...
Well it isnt have the look of the color and concentration of the liquid of the wiper washer of your new vehicle and then see the color and concentration of any window cleaner (for example Glint and other window cleaner available in the market)
The soap or shampoo when put into the wiper washer container for too long tends to dry up and you may see white flakes of those shampoo stuck in front of the nossel of the sprayer. Whereas the window cleaner is far less soapy then detergents or other chemicals.
So if you want to get rid of clogged wiper washer, put about half of water and half of window cleaner.
Hope this information would be useful to those who didnt knew of it. and for other PW members, their suggestions are always helpful.

simply keep a clutch cable about 4 inches in yr glovebox, will save you lot of headache,,you can get it from any mechanic

the salty deposits in our water clogs it. use of soap/shampoos will leave white streeks on yr windscreen unless you use proper liquid.

the idea makes sense (more water)...but the point is....why use shampoo or anything soapy as a windshield washer to begin with it all.

if it is available in pakistan, the best is to use specially designed wisdshiled washer fluid...that is resistant to all kinds of temperature...this advice is valid only if you have the stuff available locally.

pakistani climate is on the extreme...its hot and humid so plain water will simply dry up. over here....its the other end of the extreme...plain water will simply freeze during the winter...so the good humans came up with the temperature resistant solution.

secondly..i think the wiper blades do not have enough squeezing power to properly clean the windshield...plus they dont clean it all anyway...so you will be doing the job or getting it done later anyway.

Do we really have a winshield or wiper washer liquid? i always used Head & shoulders with the water or Herbal Essences Shampoo

Some times the jet or nozzle of the washer is clog mostly due to excess polish accumlating on it. Which can be cleaned with a needle or pin. But if it is due to oxidation or soap accumulation then you will need tp replace them. And as for the plastic pipes for water line they can be replaced easily. or can be cleaned as @Levin said.

But like @Szuberi said proper washer liquid use should prevent this from happening. But if you use normal water that would be sufficient also.

Use Glint, it is available in most supermarkets easily. Don't buy the one with spray but only the refill (bottle without spray). Fill your washer bottle with 3/4 Glint and 1/2 Water.

Make sure the nozzle are clean. If they are clogged, use needle (the one used in sewing) not the pin and use it gently, else it will make the nozzle hole bigger.

Clean your wiper blades and dust collected around the wipers on windscreen as the small dust particles cause scratches on windscreen.

I own a 2012 Suzuki swift. Can anyone suggest the easiest way to service the washer fluid bottle and pipe. Mine is clogged since ages. Also suggest a reliable mechanic who can fix it in Karachi. Thanks.
