majority of members does not select their preferences after account creation. The default setting was to sent email notifications for every topic they comment in or thread creation, which has been complained as unsolicited emails. Over numerous occasion several members requested to delete account based on mail over flow (some complained of email bombing) from PW into their inbox.
After carefully vetting the complains, it has been decided to disable the notification by email feature. It is temporary, it will be restored sometime later.
