Why honda city 2015 average for 225 KM shows 17KM/L on it's meter but when i refill it's tank then calculated average was actually 14.5

city meter also shows 40km per liter
but in reality 14 to 15 km per liter
and on long 16 to 17 km/l
forget meter reading.
fill the tank and calculate yourself.

I've people in my circle who have studied statistics yet they think resetting the meter before highway driving improves fuel economy for the urban driving they will do after that. facepalm

they have sometimes argued when I reset the meter showing unbelievable numbers that I ruined their vehicle's fuel economy somehow.

33 to 34 liters full
total 42 liters according to user manual
city basic 17 model facelift and 16 model.

Check petrol pump may be they are doing cheating car doesn't know how many litter you paid it calculates by sensor and give range by multiplying previous average

Odometer average is just for an idea how much you're going green. Otherwise it shows almost 3-5kmpl more average than the actual.

How can you calculate average manually.
(Gari ke meter ko tu nahi pata aap ne pese kitny litters ke diye hen)
It's not about all pumps. Just find a good and fair station.
