Why is Suzuki the only company focusing on hatchbacks in the Pakistani market?

Just saw an article mentioning how Pak Suzuki sales have increased recently while other companies' sales have shown a decline. With extremely high inflation and fuel prices it makes a lot of sense that people are preferring smaller cars and larger cars have gone beyond the reach of many people.

But what confuses me is why is Pak Suzuki the only company focusing on fuel efficient hatchbacks in Pakistan? In the last couple of years we have seen so many new companies enter the market like changan, mg, peugot, hyundai and haval but all of them are offering suvs or sedans. Even well-established companies like honda and toyota dont have any hatchbacks on offer. The only small non-suzuki car I can think of is kia picanto. I find this really odd as smaller, cheaper cars would probably have a higher demand in the current environment.

Just wanted to know what other people think about this?

A rumour (i believe its true) has been around for quite some years.... They say, big 3 are under an understanding among themselves that who will cater\focus on which market.

Suzuki for hatchbacks
Honda for executive "premium" sedans
Toyota for rental sedans "the XLIs" , with an ounce of Grande

Since Kia is also a big competitive player among the 3...so they are focusing on an entirely new segment of crossover and leading in it, with an ounce of hatchbacks (to not interfere with Cultus sales much)

If you look back, Suzuki never willfully marketed their sedans, margalla, baleno, liana, ciaz... All worthy opponents of rolla, city.

IM brought cuore, but never marketed\pushed it much.. they could easily moved to an efi engine in 2012, when mehran did.. but ofc.. mehran is Boss.

IM could easily put vitz in competition of swift
Kia could easily put cerato in competition of City\yaris
Kia could easily put rio in competition of swift
Hyundai could easily put their i10 hatch in competition of Cultus

Bhai, its all just an agreement among these companies, so that sab mil baant ke lootein.

Have kept my fair share of Suzuki cars, both old and new. They're not fuel savers, contrary to popular belief. Currently I have a brand new Alto in the house-hold, returns 13.5 kmpl, while the gauge shows 17 kmpl. Sub dhoka hai.
