why most of poeple say not to buy charade ?
is that mechanical parts of charade expensive then mehran or not available

guide me which car to buy mehran or Charade guide me have not much idea

i m not an xpert but my vote goes 4 charade much better body much more reliable than meharban yes not mehran may b its parts are less xpensive but charade is much more reliable engine wise and body wish as v know china products are less xpensive but v all knw their result not blaming all ov them but most ov them so go for charade

A charade in good condition will be many times better tham Mehran,

I own a charade its a 85 model 94 quta.

Things i like about charade that are better than mehran,

1 - Better drive

2- better build quality

3 - better brakes

4 - Better AC

5 - Better dashboard , seats , engine

You even have option of putting power steering in charade in 5000 if you dont have power steering.

Parts the new ones are available but i didnt find them that expensive.

The 2nd hand parts are cheap like i bought front two shocks for 1600 Rs

If a mehran part is 100 Rs same part for charade will be around 165.

I would recommend a mehraban anytime over a Charade bcoz of economical parts and easily available parts.

Rest Charade is a better car.

because charade body parts are bit hard to find.
original charade engines are spent out and give problems(mostly).these are the only 2 disadvantages i have in mind.
mehran is cheap parts, good resale

i think charade parts are not that hard to find...
its just that its a bit old car and shud be treated
with respect so that it in return give u peace
of mind

Bhai Go for Clean Charade and u will love it

One more thing...it got good brakes as i can feel
much difference from my previous buy (Khyber)

I think people go for Mehran because its spares are cheaper and readily available everywhere. Otherwise, as everyone else here has suggested, Charade is a better car to drive than Mehran.

i have both, charade 84 model and mehran 2004 model, and charade is 1000 times better than mehran, they have no comparison, build quality, braking , gear shifting, comfort, drivability, handling, road grip of charade are way better than mehran.
yes, spare parts of charade are a bit expensive compared to mehran but they are easily avilable, engine parts are also easily avaiable.

Not necessary if you take up my advice, but will share my exp for benefit of others...

I used to have a Charade (kept around 2 yrs.) and have Mehran nowadays (also around 2 yrs). I never was a Mehran fan - rather used to make fun of people having Mehran. But being practical, there's no better choice than Mehran in Pakistani market if you consider eco., whether mileage or maintenance.

For Charade, since its long ago - I don't believe it is possible to find a real "clean" Charade. There'll always be issues and for some items, you may face a situation where parts are expensive or not available in Shershah market. Where else could you go then - also the resale for this car is slow.

Mehran - even at a panwala you can find its parts - no issue at all and much better resale value. I agree that parts are cheaper (& may be you need to replace them more than once), but still I find it a better choice if you are going to maintain it on your own...
