Why old oil spray bottom of the car is good?

hey guys i would like to ask experts why i heard people always reckon once in a while we need to spray old oil bottom of our cars it creates a lot of difference in performance i dont find a logical reason a part from if we clean our car from water first and than spray old oil from bottom if will clear the bottom part well and all the dust and stuff will remove a part from that i am not able to find a logical answer so please help me to understand this logic if its a logic that we need to implement and why thanks in advance do post your understanding please .

It is not good. It gives false sense of stopping the already rusted body and takes away some squeaking sounds from suspension temporarily. My friend used to get new oil sprayed. I do not allow svc station ppl to spray oil at the under body.

thanks for replying talking about suspension sound can we actually check suspension and wheel balancing in computerised tunning ? i always wonder if any one can check suspension and wheel balancing in a correct manner ?

Oil will eat away at the CV boots, suspension boots and all the bushes. Do not spray oil under the car.

so basically the verdict is spraying oil under your car is not healthy for your car and its only hide the weird sounds temporarily a part from that theres no logic spraying oil under your car .

if you really want OIL - use silicon oil on all your rubber parts in the undercarriage - its meant to protect rubber, but its $$$

Moreover the practice of oil spray under the cars has some links to rust as well.The floor of cars was prone to rust in humid regions or areas like Karachi where rust used to spoil the floors so people found a solution of spraying oil underneath to avoid rust.But now car manufacturers have improved the sheet and we dont find rusty floors in humid areas.A proper greasing by a grease gun along with spray of silicone oil only in rubber parts like bushes etc is required instead of oil and that too used oil spray which itself is a dangerous material for your precious car.

Dont get Oil Sprayed under Car or in Engine Bay, just use Water and then let your car get some good sunlight and then its OK.
Its Dangerous for your car and your Health in case u r standing near to sprayer a its fumes can effect your lungs

Spraying Oil 1st Catch dust Earlier Than Expected....!! So its the 1st drawback..one should think
2nd thing is they usually mix old oil with kerosene or diesel sometimes making some new sense of cleaner agent..don't know what....but that thing is dangerous ,as already stated above ,for your car's suspension bushes , boots of steering and axles and other rubber hoses below or under cabin...!!
washing bay of an Efi car is also NOT recommended due to exposed wires and different sensors sensitivity from water...!!

It was done to my jeep recently and my dog painted his back black by crawling underneath it several times. I had to wash him then Not recommended

I do agree that its useless to spray oil/diesel or mixture of both under your car. One thing which I have noticed and liked very much, I have seen this written on many service stations in Karachi that "Water is best for your car, don't use OIL etc".

So doesn't matter how old/new your car is, just stop spoiling it.
