Why people hide their car's number plate?

Just a custom that is established whats the precise reason i am sure not one will say except to maintain privacy when the car is at road and any one see it who has seen it at PW unintentionally you'll start pointing at it and this is people want to avoid and the second probable coz is k "Kahein gaari ka asli maalik(owner) na apni gaari pehchan lay" coz there are so many adds here at PW which are only posted for fun n in reality those cars even don't exist.

just to add a bit, there is a possibility of people stopping you on road just to have a look of it if they have seen the ad (although its very rare but one of my ex colleague had such experience)

You are absolutely right i do have witnessed so many occurrences like these where even family members of those seller were on board and people use to inquire at any place about any thing coz here unfortunately on Pakistan the bad concept is that i have money in my pocket to buy a Mehran i can even interrogate a S Class seller in my style coz he is the seller must be in need of money which i have.

dude before Pakwheels i useed APNIGARI.com. Once i decided to sell ma car and posted pics (without erasing the number). but ma dad didnt allowed me to sell so i removed the add. but after that i have seen 4-5 times different adds of the car with ma cars pictures.

and pplz were saying k 5 defa is car ka add ayaa hai sell nhai howi, zroor accidental ho ge.....

it ruined image of ma car registration number and car.....

kiyonkay people r not expert in photoshop , so instead of creating fake no plate with the help of photoshop ,they just erase it ,simple.

The next day i was told to pull ver two times by two different people but i did not pull over.
