WHY.? supercars catch fire so fast

Well guys...

This is a nice subject to talk about... supercars and exotics such as Lambos and Ferraris are worlds most admired and repected exotics... and as we all know... they are not cheap.
they very expensive and people dream to get behind the wheels... BUT WHY

these supercars catch fire very rapidly.... everywhere in the world there had been complains... London, Canada, u.s, uae and everywhere.... exotics have burned because all of a sudden there engines catch fire...

I know very little about it... but want to know more... and some of the pictures are very clear... no accident but engine caught fire and car burned into ashes.....

My GUESS. It is something to do with speed/heat/fiberglass.

You think they catch fire so often because no one posts pictures of Suzukis catching fire.

The fact is they do not catch fire more often than any other car. Just because they are exotics more people share their photos. More photos of fires does not mean more fires.

For example, look at this website. Judging by 90% the pictures on this website - does the average Pakistani drive a Prado or Accord?

may be because most of their engine located backwards, difficuilt to cool...

mostly you'll find tht people run these cars too hot for too long (abuse) and they end up killing them. these cars need airflow to cool them down (via radiator obviously) and most morons drive them slowly in traffic after revving the nuts off them.

I agree with Storm.

When youngsters seat themselves in a "dream-car" , they abuse it...generally. So they drive them really fast and dangerously taking the car to its limits.

The engine overheats and because they ar going so fast, have little control on the road . Sudden extreme braking and maneuvering can lead to fires.
