Why Vitz 1.3 are less common on roads?

Aoa. Why Vitz1.3 are less commonly seen on roads as compared to Vitz1.0? Why importers don't import 1.3Vitz more often?

Well, two of the obvious reasons are
1. Duty Structure
2. Demand and Resale Issues
keeping in mind that I own a Second Generation Face lift model of Vitz. The engine was 1000cc. As due to some Pakistani Climate the Engine gave up at 120,000 Kms.
I Swapped the 1.3L motor in it and had true peace of mind due to lower maintainance and high fuel average with better pick without any lags

It would change in 2 years time when vitz hybrid 1500 cc will become more cheaper .

Resale is less with 1.3Vitz?? How people manage with 1.0L automatic car? I mean it feels underpowered.

People are even managing Corolla 1.3 with Auto
being underpowered means nothing to them
They all get happy when they announce “ ek litre mey 16 kms krti hai”

Normally, it's a misconception here that lower engine displacement will have lower fuel consumption. I had a vitz with 1.0L, which was swapped by 1.3L when it gave up. And the fuel consumption was lesser with 1.3L. Underpowered engines have to work more to move the heavy body and consume more fuel. Same is the case with corolla, 1.6 and 1.8 have better fuel consumption, as compared to 1.3, especially at highway speeds. At 130kph, a 1.8 is at way lesser RPMs than a 1.3, and that makes a lot of difference in consumption.

Yeah.. But in pakistan... People dont understand simple science and mathematics.... Otherwise no one would buy gli.... They are using an 84hp engine... Can you imagine....84hp on a 1270kg body...

Same is my point. Why people are reluctant to buy 1.3Vitz whose engine is quite economical and suitable for the body of Vitz. People just have the mentality that 1000cc is more economical and they will have to pay once as life time token.

only reason for 1.3L lesser import is huge import cost due to higher Custom duty, Besides it, there is no issue in resale value if maintained well , similarly no significant difference in fuel consumption, Yes Token Taxes can be a small reason as well

The reason for buying gli is very simple in Pakistan .it is considered status symbol .the very other day I was dining in same restaurant in which I dined 8 months ago .the only difference was that at that time I was in Audi A3 I was given special parking area . When I came there 3 days ago on my father suzuki mehran as at the moment that is the only one I have .i was told by security guard to not park it here as it is fixed for big babus .

no status symbol....sabb kay paas hai....lolzzz......haan audi is a status symbol now....audi is considered a class above....i cant say its ride quality is better than civic....but it is expensive and few people have it so it is considered so...but to tell the truth if you want value for money buy a civic.....

What I meant to say was that big cars are considered status symbol . You can’t get married without owning a big house and big car in Pakistan

anywayzz yaar...what i have learned is that sab say bara status symbol insaan kaa dil hotaa hai....woh khoobsurat ho to mehran bhee audi lagnay lagtee hai....
