from class 4th to class 7th (in mid 70s to end of 70s) we learned from social stuides & civics books that Pakistan is an agricultural country with largest network of canals and water channels in asia.
our family had approx 1600 acres of agircultural land ahead of Thatta short of Sajawal over left bank of Indus mouth towards sea., That land area used to produce sugar cane & seasonal vegetables, transported to Landhi Sabzi mandi at 5:30 am every morning.
Gradually the down stream water flow of Indus slowed down, Thank you to Punjab - the land in Sindh started to go baren. later in years the water logging & salination sprouted and whole 1600 acres gone use less.
The income from agriculture 95% beneficiaries exist in Punjab Only. rest of 5% exist in sindh at left bank of indus down stream after RYK.
So why would rulers, legislators, the sitting MNAs / MPAs will hurt their own interest by slapping Tax Over Agriculture.
i may sound rough but flagging the post deleting it, can never change the ground reality.
