The correct term is AVR (automatic voltage regulator) It controls the generator to create the 220v so that it doesnt generates more or less voltage that might destroy ur electrical appliances.
So when it dies, either it makes fluctuating voltages or else doesnt makes the voltage at all, in my case it wasnt making voltage at all.
Your generator would be stand by power. Once your kese shutts off, you start the generator. thru the change over switch you switch from KESC to Generator power.
Hence Generator and KESC cannot should not work or supply voltage at the same time.
Actualy i have spent a little time in getting our old generator repaired so i know a little terms thats it. No one realy knows these terms if they arent fimiliar to electronics.
Btw i remember getting the AVR for Honda replaced for rs3000 (something) that was chinese too.
KESE and your Generator dont ever interfear into each others performance, as they arent suppose to supply electricity at the same time. Or else ul get double the voltage. that is 440v ul blow up all your appliances.
