Window buffing

hi guyz....i am experiencing light bursting through my windscreen at night driving.....civic 1998

i wanted to know tht from where i can get it buffed from......the buffing should be done by machine not by hands.......n a good place with good price also..!!!

n tell me tht whthr i should opt for buffing or any other solution or i hav to get the wind screen changed.....i dont prefer changing it cuz thn i cannot get the original kinda fitting...tht the company does!!!

looking forward for quick n good responses!!

i have seen a scratch removal solution @ forum EBCO .. i guess it was of 350/- that was of to remove scratches from screens and head lights >>> i guess so ..

u can try that too 350 is not much

ya .. my Colleague did it with his car head light car is civic 1999/2000 model .. so i m guessing the same could be applicable of wind screens

yes magzi lane/plaza is famous for mirrors,glasses
i had no exp. of buffing for my car but saw several times, it cannot remove scratches but spots like paint,tape (which r causing fadeness)etc. can be betterly remove

If what you are getting is spider web-like swirls and not very deep scratches, then the annoying guys at plaza (even jamshed road) - who will pester you as soon as you slow your car down - have a chemical that they apply on the windshield and it improves the visibility a lot. Had that done in my Khyber - worked well for a few years at least. Also make sure your wipers aren't scratching your windshield.

Goto Patel Para and have it buffed. I get that done to all my cars. They would charge 150 - 200 for your windscreen and it would be as good as new.
The guys at plaza aren't that good as the people working in Patel Para.

go to quality autos water pump ... there is a man there he will charge you 250 Rs for that

exactly. some people use wipers dry or on dirty screens which scratches the surface

i got my windscreen buffed sometime in 2003-04. to be honest it makes it worse. it looks nice and clean from outside but the headlight glare from other vehicles is still spread out. best thing would be to get it replaced and do it professionally.
