Windows Live Messenger Problem

@Tech Expert Members: can you help me with this problem. I'm running Windows Vista and a couple of days back started receiving this error when I try to run Windows Live Messenger:

Anybody know how I can resolve this?

I've already tried uninstalling and re-installing the program, doesn't work.

I also looked it up on google and found a solution on this page:

Help! Live Messenger won't work! "Side-by-side configuration is incorrect"

Which was to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86 - For 32 Bit Systems).

this problem occured to me when I was installing WAMPSERVER-64BIT edition on my 64BIT Windows 7. It seems this is some kinda compatibility issue.

riz_: Thanks a lot for this. I did come across this solution when i tried looking for it online and I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Microsoft Visual C++. But this is a good step by step answer. I will try it now from start and see if it works. Thanks for the help

Problem solved! This is such an excellent forum, or at least the reply on the particular problem I was facing. Step by step guide helped me resolve the issue.
