Windows Tinting Permission?

AOA Fellow,

If allowed by Interior Ministry, then Windows Tint permission is applicable to person or the car only. For example, if a person takes permission and tint the car. Later-on he sale and change to some new car. So will he need to get permission separate for New Car or what?

I would appreciate if any person having real tint permission can help me.

Deputy secretary Moi Can issue You permit for tint.
Its period will be for 5 months only then you have to renew it.
Moreover its for a specific car on your name.

Would love my car jet tinted including front windshield and when someone stops me I show them the pass and move away like a boss

Thanks for details reply. This 5 month renewal thing is bad, means I can ask for favor once but after each 5 month is awkward

if the person is not present in the car for WHOM the permission is granted for specific car. Tint permits are with respect to cars not person when a permit is issued to some one it is of the specific car

And permits are being issued but very strong source is needed and now it's time is limited to 2 months only

Check from your source. ! please .. in near past at a weekend a SUV with SUCH Tint permission was intercepted somewhere in CAPITAL .. it was loaded with .. BOOZE & HASH . SUV was taken to Impound The RESOURCEFUL GUY cut a deal to sign off the SUV to seek immunity from disclosure to Media. The driver is with police under trial at court

The VEHICLE REGN & CNIC number of Permit Holder is mentioned on the letter(s) if & when issued for 8 week only. Permit Holder can use the VEHICLE with driver but driver without permit holder is HIGH RISK to wager for .. ! ..

Time limit and order of cancellation etc its same as what they issue carry permit for weapons when 144 section is imposed.

If your permit does not mention date then it is unlimited...
Some are for a year and so on.

There is no special rule being followed. .

Lastly its on discretion of officer who stops you whether he accepts it or not.

Anyways if vehicle is not in ones own name or vehicle owner is not present in car(nothing relating to tint) even then mosly police harass drivers that show Noc if you are allowed to use this vehicle etc...
So basically its not a rule just a grey area which police exploits.
And permit only gets made on car owners name as per registration.

Brother the situation you are telling it totally different carrying drug in car has nothing with permit

And obviously drivers must arrested

Well again I will say permit is limited to car and any one driving that car can drive freely (with respect to tint)

First of all even if tinting is legal using some hard to acquire permits. It is not worth being stopped at every check post and then showing the tint permit to get away. It is better not to get them instead of paying illegal bribes to get away from police in case some original document, nic, etc is missing.

Police don't even check names.
