Wiper marks on windshield

hello,
my xli's windshield got dry wiper marks when operated mistakenly,now I m unable to remove those marks,is there any solution ?

i dont thnk so that it can be removed.i have them too on my car windscreen.lets c what other people think?might be sumone having solution for this problem

to my knowledge they cant be removed now. if u will try to get them polished or buffed it will have some other permanent negative effects on the visibilty through ur wind screen.

I was always told that wiper marks canot be corrected and if we apply buff or polish the wind shield becomes further distorted however in 2007 i got my cars's windshield polished/buffed what ever they do with that electrical grinder like thing costed me about 500 rupess and i had no problems after that it was almost as good as new about 90% scratches removed ..and they never apeared again... i kept that car two years after that and it was good experience ....scratches have to be light deep scratches are hard to remove

yes buffing is a solution but avoid too much buffing, otherwise it'll make the glass thinner. I've tried myself.

My buffing experience was like hell,.

Try compund desi polish and rub it manually with hands,

I have experienced it and the scratchess get reduced, not removed...

i had a similar problem with my Surf front and rear screens. The reason why it happens is that tiny microscopic pores/holes that are not visible to eye on the glass gets filled with oil and dirt with the passage of time. normally the culprit is oily "Taki" service station guys use.

The most easiest way out is soft buff with buff machine with compound polish on it. it will take out the oil and dirt from the pores. The glass will not thin out since its not a grinding effect. Professional task would cost you around Rs 500. or you can buy a liquid from Liqui Moly that is specially for this task. That will cost you Rs 750.

Used compund polish; desi Lal rung wali to remove the break lever scratch on my right door window and it was almost gone....

Bike break lever scratched on my right rear window.
Had a white scratch on window.

used desi red compund polish which is used on car body, and the scratch was 90% gone.

Getting your windshield buffed only worsens the problem...the wiper scratchesh aren't removed, and the rest of the screen gets blinded hence worsening the visibility..first hand experience.

For metal paints, polishes are available to remove little marks on paints like formula1 "scratch out" etc.

Is Any poilsh or chemical is found in the market to remove scratches from glass too?

I have same problem with my car. I had replaced my wipers rubbers with some ordinary ones and got the problem. Kindly someone advise me where to get the windscreen buffed in lahore. Moreover, from where i can get the genuine Wipers of Toyota Corolla Xli model 2005 , may be from Toyota Motors or any other place in Lahore. I am planning to get my windshield repaired tomorrow.

There's a setup in karachi that uses esprit (UK) stuff. Works great. Cost me 1200 to refresh my windscreen.

And if buffing has made your windshield worse, you need to buff it up more. Till it clears up.
