Today Daihatsu launched the world's most fuel efficient compact car, the Daihatsu Mira e : s, it accumulates a record-high fuel economy 30.0km/L in Japan's JC08 mode scale and 32.0km/L in 10-15 Mode scale.

Lets face it, New tou aanaye say rahi,I mean no one will launch her here.
so price of a new unit doesn't matter.we'll only get it when someone will import it,and importers mostly go for 2nd hand cars,hence we can expect half the price of new unit.

Means you have to pay in advance the fuel cost for 10yrs of a non-fuel efficient car to buy a fuel efficient car ........ e.g:

Lets say I drive my car 50000Km per year, so if I have Diahatsu mira then:

50000/30 = 1666.666 liter of patrol per year = 1666.66 x 85 = Rs. 141666 per year.

If I use any of the current 1300cc car of pakistan say Suzuki Swift, then:

50000/15 = 3333.33 liter of patrol per year = 3333.33 x 85 = Rs. 283333 per year.

Difference = 283333 - 141666 = Rs. 141666 per year

Why not buy a fuel inefficient car like Swift & spend the extra money that you save in 5-10 years & enjoy the pleasure of driving 1300cc car.

Moreover, I am sure the claimed mileage i.e 30km/ltr is for long route, not for pakistani roads. & in long, swift or any 1300cc car will easily give you 18-20Km/ltr.....

Exactly but are you sure you drive 50,000 kms a year? because i drive about 15,000 kms a year which means if i buy a 10 lac rupee swift i'll be having 8 lacs for its fuel for the next 8 years

Half the price for a Mira or Vitz, Belta, Corolla, and few other cars which have good resale take at least 5 Years, so we better wait for 2017 when the rupee will be God knows for how much and gold maybe @ $5,000, and only Allah knows best, we dunno nothing about future

Why are you hell bent upon importing it right away? Let a few years pass and you'll be entitled to depreciation BESIDES the (used) car's price come down. By the way, remember that fuel we get here is not the same as abroad so please deduct a few km from the 30 figure IF talking in terms of a brand new vehicle.

1- you may start getting the written off ones maybe a couple of months after launch...grade 3 will cost far less than 12k USD.

2- In 6 months time, we can expect the engines to be available in bilal gunj. Swap it in your mira/cuore and, viola... get 32kmpl

i have same like above with smart pakage 2008 model n import 2011......woth 8 lac rupees only 14000 km driven with manual transmission................the fuel economy is great more then 24 km/ltr plus much much better then local couray.....cultus......alto....santro. ........like comfort......luxury........spacious........fully loaded....abs......pwr window....pwr streeing....pwr lights....pwr mirrors....keyless entry...........n loook wise also much better then local craps...

Well I myself drive at most 10-12K per year but I took the maximum value per year for this calculation
