Worst fuel average on civic

AOA. I have civic 2006 model. (Eagle eye) vti manual. Froam last year its giving extremely bad mileage of 5 km/l. Even if my rpm needle doesn't crosses 3, its giving 6 km/l. I have tried every thing. Changed its injectors, plugs, filters. Serviced the carburator. Kindly suggest me something how that if can be cured.

Ur the second person i hav seen who is getting the same mileage. I hope somewhre here could help u out in this regard. My cousin has same model vti and he is getting around 6 in city. He has even got the throttle body changed but no luck

Fill its petrol tank to the brim
Drive on motorway for a 100kms at a constant speed of 100kmph
Refill from same pump till brim
Then calculate mileage.

If it turns out to be less than 15 only then start to rectify, instead of just throwing in parts.

If motorway travel not feasible measure your ‘Average speed’ while calculating fuel averages. Average speed is the single most important determinant of fuel average.

Total distance travelled divided by total time in hours.

Hi ali. Thanks for your reply. My average speed is around 60-70 km/hr. and that too on 3rd and 4th gear. Still no luck
