a friend owns QQ from last 4 years and i drove it its a good car compared to even alto quality is much better but main deal with that car was parts problem i was getting a qq in 225K but didn't go for it coz spares and still driving my oldile mehran coz of spares

Main reason mehran is sucessful over QQ. is that in our rural area Mechanics over their can only work on old carburator version cars as they have no knowledge of fuel injected cars,because of electronics (ecu). according to them all EFI cars are failure.(haha). Therefore mehran RULZ in rural area and even in cities maybe.

I anxiously look forward to the day when Chinese manufacturers will start assembling cars here. But the problem lies with ourselves. The first thing many people will say after the advertisement of the new car would be it has no resale, its a failure. I myself bought a chevy joy in 2009 and seriously considered buying a QQ, but I was more tempted towards the joy :).

@Einstein so far its not clear if one or two or how many Chinese car makers are about to do the business here. there are more than a dozen choices for low budget super minis over there while we only know QQ. secondly i believe labour in China is much cheaper than labour in Pakistan.. it would be interesting to see the prices of these cars once assembled here.. but definitely local assembled ones will be much attractive for buyers rather than imports because spare parts will be cheap and will be much easy to get.. lets wait and see what actually happens

lol, politics in pak is very stable. only thing is economy. if inflation and interest rates come under control, people will invest. same goes for Chinese entrepreneurs. right now both are out of control.

very good news indeed, especially for the small car market. it will not only keep prices in check but will also create new employment and export opportunities as well.
If this happens due to increased competition a time will come when paksuzuki will no longer be in the position to dump 1970s/1980s era cars in Pakistan like it has been doing so for such a long time.

well now trend changed in my city except for some suzuki models every old corolla has a 5AF-E under the hood so efi is really in now meachincs understand it

ppl don't buy QQ bcz of its spare parts and resale.......but i think when china start making cars in Pakistan then more cars available in market and spare parts also easily available than i m sure ppl will buy it

Guys I was in china from 2005-2010 ( jul) trust me if they wanted it seriously then it gonna happen fast, reall fast n they have power n speed to make other competitors cry . The sedans n suv's of chery are really Gud one company that is really giving a hard time in western countries is byd if thier hatch backs came here n they advertise their product n do reasonable marketing then it will be a game changer
