something hit him from behind. as you can see drivers seat pulled back due to momentum as some thing hit him at high speed. cant say what happened to roof and strange no air bags deployed.

It was hit when it was at intersection stopped. Hit by truck. The rear airbags are mostly in side pillar and curtain area. Rescuers cut the roof to help the driver and passenger out.
yes the pillars have been cut of with saw's probably to take out the occupants of the carhope they survived this
some truck must have climbed over it...
look closely airbags didnt deploy ... thats sad also agr yeh pakistan main hoa hota to car thief nay gari ka sab kuch nikal laina tha:)
airbags deploy only if they wud help in minimizing the injuries to the occupants. thats why, if the car is hit from side, only the curtain airbags deploy, not the ones in the dashboard...
weird , da airbags even nt deployed ! storm damaged or wht ?
