Wrenching with VCheng

In my KE-70 the brake pads vibrate so much and make a GHUNGROO :sound. Every time mechanic puts a rubber piece at both corners of the pads to quiet it down...any permanent solution ???

how about loosing the bleed nozzle 1/4 turn, it can ease the return of piston using the levers.
I have not tried it but some one said it will make things easy.

I just want to know any cons about it.

When you don't have drainer and don't want to mess the driveway, it's the way to do it.

Rubber is a bad idea in that location. There are proper anti-rattle clips made of steel for this purpose, but they need to be application specific. Use of proper backing shims and anti-squeal compound also helps.

how did i missed this thread good going VC.There is one more way to pumpout old brake oil.Losen the brake fluid line n start uming the brake but can risk your master cylender.

The master cylinder is at risk only if it is already pitted/corroded/worn, not otherwise.

to the brake pad DIY person doing it with the shorty spanners, Please redo the caliper bolts with a proper socket + torque ratchet and coat the threads of the bolts with blue threadlocker first.

You are running on a very risky setup.

One has to keep up on repairs and maintenance on old cars. The Corvette is showing its age too, after nearly 8 years on the road.

After the recent battery replacement, one of the TPMS sensors gave out. It was replaced at a cost of $80.

Now the door unlocking relay on the driver's side is sticking. The two options are to replace the entire DCM ($400) on that door, or try to replace the relays on the existing circuit board. Some homework is in order to find a suitable solution.
