^ I was confused while I was getting a car few months ago. I was near buying an Impreza WRX brand new or a used STI for the same price. Even deposited 1K on the deal. Then Sandy hit and I refunded the deposit as the the town I wS looking was hit by sandy.. Eventually got a GTI.. STI would be quick but interior is very inferior material..

Thanks. Yea I hav e been driving VW's from last almost 8 years straight. own a 2013 Jetta SEL as well. But well GTI Is something very close to me. remain in covered garage while Jetta is out in cold and sun. The interior of GTI is yes much better then any car in this segment. midwest? exactly where.. Chicago?

That blows that you were disrupted from getting it though, but the GTI is also very capable. As for the interior, yes it is crappy and very basic but o well!!
