Hello PW! any one guide, where can i buy original kenwood KFC-HQ718 original in lahore. Where are the authorized dealers and who sells with warranty.

i have seen this at metro ravi road lahore and hyperstar lahore. go nd chk.

I checked at Metro and hyperstar. price is 7500 at both places and they are in warranty. price a bit high.
I also checked market and they are available in 7000.

So far i found that the genuine ones has blue/silver sticker at back magnet plus serial number printed on metal and written warranted product. Fake ones has black sticker at magnet.

Also leave opinions about the new kenwood series KFC-S6974, S6984, S6994 if any body installed them. These are also available at metro but dnt know about sound quality.

718s are overly hyped and the most copied speakers in Pakistan. if you want quality then try pioneer, jvc and sony speakers as well. jvc 6957 for example has bass almost equal to 718 and the sound quality is better. there is also anothe model of jvc i.e. 71** which is still better. pioneer has 6965 and 6983 or even 6902r (slightly expensive at around 8-9k), sony has 6941. all the mentioned speakers (other than 6902r) are within 6k price range.

yes jvc 7158 have bass like 718 but the sound quality is much better. should try those as well

Im from Karachi someone is selling me these original Kenwood 718 Indonesian speakers (Good as new)He says that these are "puranay walay" which had stopped being manufactured after 2004-05 therefore very hard to find. He's selling them at a low cost as he has a flight tomorrow.He has made a final offer of 5000/=. I do not have any idea about audio accessories and have 2 questions: (1) Is the offer good? (2) What should I check to confirm his claim. A quick reply in urdu or english will be appreciated. Thanks

nothing beats original old indonesian 718s but the problem is that they are not available in market anymore....my audio guy told me that the ones available in the market nowadays are not at par with the ones which used to come 5 years back....and fortunately i have two pairs of them....
