WTB Proton Gen-2. Should I?

I really like this car and I can bet its way better than 99% local cars BUT I also know that there is no resale of this car and I don't really care as long as it doesn't become a pain in the a**. I want to keep the car for at least 3 years.

What you think is the reasonable price for Proton Gen-2 2006 model (1.3 Manual, CNG Installed), 25000 KM on the meter. Islamabad registered, Overall mint condition?

Also, if you are an owner of Proton Gen-2, please share your experiences? The guy told me that parts are not easily available and the dealership is in Karachi but Chevrolet Islamabad has the parts and can also maintain the car without any problem. What about the prices of parts? Are they expensive? Any comments?

As mentioned earlier, the car is in very good condition, so, I don't want to lose it. Please suggest.

Its a realy nyc looking car, i guess at a time brand new it used to cost some where around Cultus/Liana or between that, Some how our market didnt embrace the car. Parts and selling the car (in case of any need) could be a problem.

its a gud car ive used one during my stay in kl........if resale isnt an issue n if u cn get parts.then its all ryte......for 700k try 2 get the price lowered..n btw is it the orange one???

No, its not orange. Its Grey. I will confirm the availiblity of parts tomorrow.

Any other Proton Gen-2 owners? I heard that the weight of the car is heavier for 1.3 engine?

Bro u cannot say its 99% better than local cars .. a bit better in build quality then local cars. one of my friend in havin this car since 2007.. and hes totally satisfied with this car.. so if resale is not a prob.. then go for it .. parts are bit harder to find. Overall car is excellent .. good ac and pickup.

What about maintenance? If I drive decently, how many times in a month I will have to take it to workshop? I am not talking about uncertainties here.

What about fuel consumption?

fuel consumption for 1.3 variant is excellent. and it all depends upon u . how u drive it .. if u ill drive it with care. there will be no major probs. my friend is having not a single prob with this car. and he admires it all the time. his car is now 84k on odo. but it really needs care.. body parts are too hard to find. u ill have to import them.

here a 1.3 gen 2 campro min condition, islamabad regst if in KHI should be aROUNd 650 to 700K, spaRe parts are not a pRoblem aT all, THEy aRe all available.... iF you have alReady bROught The caR and requiRe a duly trained mechaniC / electrician FoR THis bRand, you may cONTaCT me THRu pak wheels..... also Rest assured, noTHINg better than THis caR and FoR THE PRice paid, i myselF mainTains a 1.6......wow experience.........superNT

absolutely go for it ... i had a 1.6 gen2 for about a year still miss it , its a very reliable maintenance free car and a head turner ... though the price you quoted is on the higher side ... and about resale well its the only car i have ever made a profit in (though it was a tiny one) but i consider my self lucky lol.
