go for xperia i have one and its brilliant, excelent solid construction, not plasticy like the n97, brushed alluminium all around.

it has a dual core processor plus a dedicated video processor and ram

its a gr8 fone, wm6 is something you are gonna have to live with but the phone is the quickest wm phone i have ever seen

the best screen resolution on a mobile to date!!!

r3a update has solved alot of issues plus sync is very easy.

but it is indeed a business oriented phone but it serves other purposes as well, sound quality is unmatchable as well as video quality (curtosy dedicated video processor, ram and best screen resolution)

as for n97 its a good phone but the major issue is the premature symbian touch os , i would rather go for the 5800 xpress music for less than half price and live without a qwety keyboard, the rest is absolutely the same apart from 32 gb memory (thats a real plus by the way).

dont go for the black colour, i know it looks gr8 in black but the battery cover gets scrathed very quickly (i guess i also used my phone rough), and the phone looks really old, go for silver, even if it cathes scrathes its not visible.

and bro i know i also have seen many black onse that catch the scratches are the paint fades out looks bad but as u are in uk u can the back batery cover for around 10 pounds or less its very commonly avaiable there

yesterday saw one almost new silver color xperia in singapore plaza. the shop wala was asking 38 for it. I think silver is not that bad either, I kind of liked it . One thing I have noticed that it is not very easy to operate its touch screen with fingers. Stylus is a must

yesterday I went to F7 and saw the set, but did not like its condiiton. I think it would be better to look for a silver set cause it is not possible to find a black set in clean condition.

the handset was clean and even in warranty

but the back cover was really faded and it happens with every other phone in black color and extensive use if u consider the phone with out the back cover its clean and the price is also good and u can buy a genuine back cover online or from lahore

Set has the traces of being droped. the siver rim around keboard part has a small piece cracking. also the top part has the traces of droping. only has charger and datacable with manuals and box. didn't like it. There is a much cleaner set available in singapore plaza basement with complete box and warranty (local). Shop is FM89. guy is asking 28.
Even if I buy a new back cover it will still fade in a month or so. Also my interest in this set is fading. I have used iphone 3G & 1st gen, N97, 5800, Pixon, F480 etc. all finger friendly touch screen phones. using stylus is history now which is the case with xperia.

today i was in singapore plaza as i told u also visited the frequency plaza in frequency plaza saw three xperiaz one black for 31 quiet good condition one silver for 32k good 1 and one silver 35k brand new 1 not used awesome packed accesories even

then in singapore plaza the cell at fone junction 24k very goo from top but back cover completely faded and at XS4 saw two silver and black side by side both mint condition sets but asking 36k i asked y so much high he said that he bought it at the old rate but the rate of new has dropped

saw a mint condition n97 in 35k but couldnt gather appetite for it i looks way to cubical and bus kuch na poucho

then went to revolution another nice guy silver cell in very good condition and complete acesories and 4gb card very reasonalble he finally agreed to gv it for 25k while started at 27k i agreed and said i will buy wet to the ATM to get cash and did lunch came back and he has sold it for 26k and said u me that i didnt pay any advance or i didnt comit dats sad so i thought shayad naseeb main he nahi so too a taxi and nw back in my home

yeah in black color thats a seriously disturbing issue but it if used with but care i lasts nearly 8months but still disturbing quality issue

true its history but i can bear that coz i am used to it i used bold for quite a time and loved it and also like javelin but yaar to get the complete experiance have to activate that blackberry services thats sad for me

but other touch fones are better and vice versa its just the mind set of the consumer

you are absolutely right about the mind set of user.

That silver set in 25k was ideal, but maybe it was not meant for you. ALLAH kay har kaam main bahtaree hoti hai.

If you can visit that FM89 shop, he may still have that black set. and don't buy N97, its not worth it.

I saw on the internet that the interface of windows mobile 6.5 has become quite finger friendly, that can make xperia quite an interesting option. Anyhow lets keep hunting for a nice set in reasonable price.
