Xli 2009 heatup

My xli car gets heat up and trip the ac after that some one suggest me to take it to radiator mechanic i took it there he washed it with acid but still there is same problem it trip the ac and gets heat up please tell me Whats the problem ?

Brother,my car is in Larkana someone told me may be its gas kit problem what do you suggest me ? One problem is that its heatip meter always remain down then center now it shows center and also trip the ac

and best way to check the head gas kit it that start the car open the radiator and see if smal little bubbles are being made if so than head gasket need to be replaced

You must have a CNG installed. Dont you know Xli/ gli gaskit gets fried with CNG ;/

When engine is warm up, check the radiator by grabbing its pipe are they warm enough as well, if not may be thermostat is not working.
Or the fan switch is coming on too late. Inspect the water pump as well.

rephrase your question -

is car heating & gauge needle shot-up redlining - or is it aircon which stops cooling ?

if it is only tripping the aircon. The unit it needs thorough servicing by removing the evaporator & expansion valve which controls the GAS flow between evaporator & compressor to cut-off when cabin temperature is attained.

Brother is the radiator or pipes reducing water?

Temperature needle always remains on middle and fan should be auto. Likewise A/C also trips auto.

How is the condition of your radiator? Are the fins normal or they are bent more than 50%.

Get a new jali for 5,000 rupees or kabli one for 2,500 rupees and fill ZIC Super A green coolant with 50 percent clean fresh water.

First thoroughly check for any leakage. Water cannot go anywhere from a sealed radiator for months. There are some pretty good radiator mechanics at Korangi road when going left hand to FTC, they take 800 rupees for regular radiator service.

Just open the cap of your radi and start the engine then rev it if bubles appear in radi water then its your head gaskit problem first check it then go to any radi doctor

the market now a days is flooded with refurbished/new thai/malaysian radiators which are million times better than the locally made jaalis (brass ones). made from aluminum, they are durable and better have better conductivity. get a radiator+fan and forget atleast 4 years provided u use proper coolants.

just sold my 2005 cultus. never got the radiator repaired, nor cleaned. just used good coolant and kept changing it every season. i know coolants can last longer but i changed them every season for safe side and my car never gave me any heatup problems even in 44c outside and i never drive without a/c since besides cooling, u need to keep the windows rolled up in Karachi for other reasons especially when 95% times u r driving u r alone.
