these pipe covers are aval with ac walas?
I think instead of Samad bond the plastic clips will be better.
Actually the samad bond stick with that aluminum pipe, and with clip thrz some gap between pipe and insulation, so i found samad bond better then plastic clip.
Can that white packing tape be used on it which AC walas use on pipes of split ac systems?
I also used black tape, aim is to insulate the pipe from engine heat with any mean,
I think the only problem you will face is compressor issue as low-pressure pipes are generally exposed to engine bay heat to convert the remaining liquid freon into gas as your compressor is meant to compress gas not liquid so my suggestion is instead of covering the whole pipe leave a small section exposed to the engine heat for better results
