Xli & CITY.......Comparison

some ppl saying corolla has technology...y dont the consider the 2c engine? which my dad's 86 rolla had when he bought it brand new nd he though he got LATEST TECHNOLOGY,nd the latest technology on 1986 is still the latest in 2009... nd not to mention the manual windows,ab to cultus,joy,qq chery or santro mai b power windows aa gae hain...mai b mehran mai b aa jaen kch years tak lakin xli mai nahi aengi...dont know how rollla is better...

city can give upto 20-21km/ltr...xli cant come close to that...city engine is 100bhp,does 0-100km/h in about 11sec,xli does in 13sec,nd u say xli engine is better.city engine is quieter,thanx for telling that sohc is 40yrs old technology,do u know ICE(internal combustion engine) is a 100yrs old technology? lets take a look at honda vs toyota engines..
the old shape altis was 1.8l dohc vvti producing 134bhp, old shaped civic was 1.6l sohc vtec still producing 130bhp..means that 200cc nd dohc combined,wasnt able to give more then 4-5bhp to the car...bull shit dohc technology man...

@cowratgee: bro i only agree with u on the interior quality & Resale part......rest i have commented on each & every point u mentioned & it goes in favour of city.......now comin to ur new post.....sir ABS do helps inorder to make sudden turns which many people call "CUTS".....it avoids the car to get out of control by keeping the car into grip though it is also helpful in rainfall & i dun think that there is ny city in Pakistan where rainfall doesnot exist so it still is useful & u cant deny the fact anyway.....now cming to "AFTERMARKET" thing.....agar 12k ki baat hai tou Xli mein company fitted hi kyun nai de daitay???.....this would make it arund 40k more xpensive than City that already have all these features & u cant deny this thing too....Lastly,u dun agree that City has better drive than Xli then i cant do anything cuz i have driven both & city is better than Xli.....though the drive of Xli is also gud

old xli was 1,3ltr dohc non-vvti producing 85bhp, now xli has 1.3ltr dohc vvti still producing 85bhp

old city idsi had 1.3ltr sohc non-vtec producing 78bhp ..
new city has same L13 1.3ltr engine sohc ,just added vtec nd jumped to 100bhp... wat toyota technology u talking about man? huh?

i dnt know how goa is rated,but honda;s gcon is rated as one of the best g force reduction system..im not saying goa is bad,but gcon is up to the mark too...so,thats same for both

reliability...1lakh 12k kms drive city idsi on cng,2006 model, 100km+ daily drive...still giving same performance nd fuel economy as a new car,although 1 lakh isnt toooo much but if a car is not made to last,it shows problems at this much milage...i hav also seen a 2lakh kms driven idsi,was still excellent.

maintanence cost...what extra cost do u think hondas need? i get just routiene work done,oil changes,filters etc change(filters of rolla more expensive then city) nd tune ups,nothing else....nd even if it costs slightly more then rolla,wats so bad? u hav to pay sumthing to enjoy sumthing...

u say abs isnt much used to pakistan,come on now his is bullshit,its a thing u cant ignore at all...its a life saving thing...only if xli had abs,i bet it wud had saved hundreds of lives lost due to accident caused by slipping...u cant say its useless....

nd who says city becomes uncomfortable at high speeds? i drove all the way from rwp to sargodha on m2 @140km/h...it was just as its on 100km/h...no jerks,no strange wind noises(due to aerodynamic shape) no shaking nothing...how u saying its not as smooth...??

nd lastly,city comes with 70,000kms/3 yrs warrenty...nd ur rolla comes wid very much less then that...now tell me warrenty isnt sumthing u need in pakistan....hahahahahahaa..... i know u rolla fans wud alwasy hav excuses

theres just one slight advantage in corolla,nd thats its resale...rest its no where near any honda...be it a civic or a city or accord..

ohh yeah ,one more advantage,u can always convert ur xli(city level car) to altis(civic level car) just by putting side skirts rimz nd altis badge...

yes City is more reliable for me......secondly,spare parts are also easily available.......body wise City is also Gud......sir pakistan is not some desert jahan RAIN hoti hi nahi hai.....even Rain can make the Roads slippery in which ABS is uesful & u urself said that Brake assist is useful....Xli mein tou brake assist bhi nahi hai B-)......Lastly,Newyork is not a country,its part of USA

my friend honda makes light weight car that why more bhp... new corolla is heaver and more stable the previous that why same bhp.. who say g-con is best except u.. have any proof will i have euro ncap for corolla.. man comeon u must be day dreaming if u say city is more reliable then corolla.. and why pay something to enjoy something if u can enjoy even better for paying almost nothing.. without abs u will slip on dry roads hahaha what a joke, ya i m sure 99% of total death in pakistan is due to nonabs xli.. the drive of xli at 100km/h + is way way better then city...

100% sure.....

but on ABS thing...it is something corolla needed alot....

cuz 4 wheel jam ...they need abs

and in case of locking in emergency no 1 remambers of lifting back and then braking again

so ABS is big advantage

excuse me..."cars" dont make bhps,engine makes them...so no matter the car is heavier or lighter,the bhp is gonna b the same..its the over all performance or u can say 0-100 timing that wud b affected by light or heavy body...nd yeah thanx for telling me another good point about hondas that they r light weight:)

nd wat do u think...u r going @ 100km/h in a non-abs car on a completely dry road,u step hard on the brakes,the tyres r not gonna jam? lol thats a nice one...

who told u abs is for wet places only?thats the vehicle stability control system,which is made to work even on snow,abs comes into use even on dry roads....

plz do ur homework before u start to write up ur silly comments here... i can understand they u dnt have sound knowledge about cars nd u r just here for fun...regrading hondas n nothing else....
