Welcome to another episode of PakWheels Bike Reviews. Today, we have the review of the common man’s bike, the Yamaha YB 125Z-DX, the rival of Honda CG 125. The owner of YB 125Z-DX is also the ex-owner of CG 125 and thinks the latter is nothing compared to the former. Here’s why.
Purchase & Price
The owner purchased the 2022 model of Yamaha YB 125Z-DX a month ago for Rs. 250,000. He has not yet gotten the bike registered to his name, but the registration cost is Rs. 7,500.Ride
YB 125Z-DX is a powerful bike with great pick. Unlike the bumpy ride of Honda CG 125, Yamaha YB 125Z-DX has a really soft and smooth ride. All five gears are at the front, making it easy to switch between them. The disc brakes are also smoother than CG 125. Fuel Average
The owner says his YB 125Z-DX gives him a fuel average of 45 to 50 kilometres per litre, which is pretty impressive.Comfort
Yamaha 125Z-DX is a comfortable family bike. Sitting at the back, you don’t feel any jerks or jitters. Features
This bike comes with practical features such as push start and an easy-to-read speedometer with gear, fuel, and trip indicators.
The owner’s YB 125Z-DX was originally red, but he got it wrapped in teal orange to save the bike’s body from scratches.
Overall, Yamaha YB 125Z-DX is a great option for a day-to-day family bike. Interestingly, Yamaha has recently introduced “innovative features” in this model. There are three new color options (metallic black, metallic blue, and a vivid cocktail red) and some graphic changes with the same price tag of Rs. 216,500.
What do you think about the Yamaha 125Z-DX? Which one do you like better? This one or the Honda CG 125? Tell us in the comments.
