Old memories.
I had owned a RXG which I bought in 1996. It was the replacement for the RX 100. It had a much better top end compared to the RX 100 which was a bit of a wimp after 80 Kmph. But the exhaust note was rubbish compared to the RX 100. I practiced and honed my riding skills on it. I learnt how to corner, how to steer and most importantly how to stop!
The bike had skinny tyres which I later upgraded. she came with 2.50 x 18 on the front wheel and 2.75 x 18 on the rear. I used these tyres for 2 years before upgrading to wider rubber. I could drag my foot rests on the road in fast and slow corners. Tyres were skinny but grippy. I remember dragging the footrests on my favourite left hander at 80 Kmph. I bought it for INR 43000 in 1996. It was expensive!
Tons of memories on that bike. Sold her in 2001 after covering 62000 Kms and bought a Yamaha RD 350. She was a bundle of joy and happiness for me.
